We all have hair challenges.

I don’t know anyone who has hair like some of the influencers–the glossy, slippery, tumble-down-your-back hair that we are to believe our straw-like tresses will become if we just use the shampoo de jour.

But I have discovered a little nugget that seems to work for all kinds of hair, makes your hair silky, and you use so little that one small $12 bottle could last you over a year…..

 

I went to an obscure little hair salon one day and this older lady cut my hair. After she was finished, she started to put something in my hair. I told her that since my hair is very fine and thin I don’t like products in my hair as they weigh it down.  She smiled and told me that this stuff is not like anything I have ever tried and it will make my hair shiny and tame the fly-aways.

She proceeded to put a tiny drop of something that looked like baby oil into her palm, rubbed her palms together, and then rubbed the ends of my hair with her hands.

I was ready for my hair to look oily and stringy, but instead, my straw-like hair became soft and, dare I say it, glossy.

I was convinced and, of course, bought a bottle from her. She told me that even though the Silk Therapy worked well on my fine hair, it is especially good for hair that is curly and frizzy.

If you have to blow dry your hair to straighten it, rub a little Silk Therapy through your hair first.  You will be amazed at how much easier it is to blow dry your hair.

If your hair tends to look dry and dull, rub some Silk Therapy into it just as you would put hand lotion on dry hands. The scarecrow look will disappear.

Try it on your wet hair to make it easier to comb out and blow dry, or on your dry hair as a finishing touch.

Sometimes I put it a little extra on my hair before I go to bed.  When I wake up, my hair is smooth instead of fuzzy.

Now, I warn you, Silk Therapy looks and feels like baby oil.  You may have a hard time accepting that this product is not going to make your hair greasy.  Use a tiny bit, and gradually add what your hair can handle.

A 2.26 oz. bottle on Amazon costs around $12. A small bottle will last you quite a while.

The 2.26 oz. size is perfect for traveling as it is under the 3oz. limit for airline security.

There is a similar product by CHI called Silk Infusion. Biosilk and CHI are both made by Farouk.

I can’t really tell the difference in the two products, but some people prefer one over the other. They smell a little different and I think the Biosilk product is a little thinner.  The Chi Silk Infusion costs a tad bit more at $13.99 for just 2.0 oz. on Amazon.
